8-8-03 - Nashville Super Speedway in Gladeville TN
had a Full House for the Craftsman Truck Series Friday Night. The fans
were treated with lots of fireworks both in the sky and on the track!
Everyone seemed to enjoy the pre-race festivities as well as each driver
was brought out and introduced to the fans and several received various
awards. There were even boy scouts on hand to man the flags that were four
times their size! But they did a Great Job! The Nashville SuperSpeedway
even treated the fans with a parade of Walking Horses! Now where else can
you go and see SO Much in One Place?!!
All the Craftsman Drivers were up for the challenge of doing some Great
Racing too. There were only three cautions with only two accidents!
And the 150 lap race had Nine Lead Changes among seven different drivers!
But in the end after some Great Battles, Rookie Carl Edwards driving the
white number 99 finally beat out Ted Musgrave driving the #1 truck for the
win! Needless to say, the young man was elated with his victory! Rick
Crawford finished third in a Ford, followed by David Starr's Chevrolet and
the Dodge of Brendan Gaughan. Pole-sitter Chad Chaffin was sixth with
Wood, Dennis Setzer, Travis Kvapil and Matt Crafton completing the top 10.
And if you Weren't fortunate enough to see the Craftsman
race (or even if you did see it), check The Nashville
SuperSpeedway Photo Page on www.Stormys.biz
to see pictures of all the action! (I should have the almost 400 photos up
in the next couple days!-)

NEW CARRY-IN BAG POLICY
IN PLACE FOR BRISTOL'S RACING EVENTS
BRISTOL, Tenn. (Friday, August 15, 2003) - In an
effort to enhance fan comfort during the races and in the interest of
safety, Bristol Motor Speedway will enact a new "carry-in" bag
policy for its August racing events. In addition to permitting
one 14-inch cooler, fans may bring only one carry-in bag through
grandstand gates. In terms of the carry-in size, it must be able to
fit under the individual's grandstand seat without obstructing the aisles
or encroaching on a neighboring seat. Souvenir bags and/or race
program packages are exempt from this new restriction. MORE...

Hall's first late model win in only his second year of racing the late
models. Hall's prior racing experience comes from Legend cars and other
cars in asphalt racing. Hall has come close to winning in both limited
and super late models this season. Hall was able to seal the deal

their announcer and I were talking and comparing the types of cars

about double the horses of the Late Models and about half the

6-7-03 - Even tho it rained a flood Friday night and the skies were totally
overcast with luminous clouds all day Saturday, it didn't put a damper on
the racing at Riverview Speedway! The pit was full and the
racing was furious! With the Fairgrounds closed, regular cars from there
came to Riverview to try and take the victory, and Some of them Did! It
was a beautiful day under the clouds although the air was heavy keeping
the track damp deep down, perhaps causing the cars to handle a little differently
than normal with many more spin outs than normal. But as usual, it was a phenomenal
night or racing!-) Following are the 'unofficial' results...

scheduled Kodak 'All Pro' series was finally called off tonight about 9pm
due to rain (Phooey!-) It will be run Saturday AFTER the Busch

tonight:-( So Saturday will be a Full Action Packed Day
at the Nashville
SuperSpeedway! I understand they have a concert scheduled, of course
the Busch Race, and Now the Kodak
